Dr. LaShawn Taylor has spent more than 15 years working across the education and social sectors, driven by a deep commitment to building capacity within mission-oriented organizations. As a Director of Consulting, LaShawn leads the delivery of the organization’s full suite of consulting services, including individual client engagements, multi-client initiatives, and research-based special projects.
She earned her undergraduate degree from USC and later completed both her master’s and doctorate at Pepperdine University, where she now serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Social Entrepreneurship and Change graduate program. Throughout her career, LaShawn has partnered with leaders to strengthen financial capacity, advance community-development initiatives, and support sustainable impact. She also brings several years of experience leading workforce development and higher-education initiatives.
In her spare time, LaShawn enjoys traveling and attending sporting events with family and friends.
Mónica (Móni) leads NFF’s strategies to foster excellence, equity, and a high-performance, values-aligned culture. With over two decades working across mission-driven organizations, Moni brings deep expertise in talent strategy, organizational development, and culture transformation – and a steadfast commitment to equity-centered, people-focused leadership.
Before joining NFF, she served as Chief Talent Officer at UnboundEd Learning, where she built the organization’s first Talent function. She was also Chief Talent Officer at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools and Chief HR Officer for the San Francisco Unified School District. Her leadership is rooted in experiences consulting with school districts and state agencies to design equitable talent systems, and in her beginnings as a bilingual and special education teacher in Los Angeles.
A certified SPHR, she holds dual degrees from UC Berkeley and is an alum of Harvard’s Public Education Leadership Program and the Equity Lab’s Acelero Nexus Accelerator Fellowship.
Neha Shah is a strategic leader and driving force behind the development, implementation, and visibility of the Charles Schwab Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) vision, strategy and programs, with a focus on nimbly deploying capital in historically and systemically excluded communities through loans, investments, grants and volunteer services.
Before Schwab, she thrived in a career leading and executing mission-driven strategies that focused on transforming marginalized communities through the development and financing of affordable housing, small business, childcare, charter schools and community facilities. Neha has a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master’s in Urban Planning from New York University. She resides in the Los Angeles area with her family.
Maggie (she/her) is an Initiative Support Associate in the Consulting department at NFF, working as part of the practice management team. She supports the project management of client initiatives and engagements, along with team support, data integrity, and outcomes measurement. Prior to NFF, she worked as a program officer at JSI Research and Training Institute, supporting global health program operations in Asia and East Africa. She received her bachelor’s degree from Brown University in health and human biology and a master’s in public health from Boston University in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
Ben (he/him) joined NFF in July 2025 as an Initiative Support Associate in the Consulting department. In this role, he supports the consulting practice through the project management of client initiatives and engagements, team logistics, data integrity, and outcomes measurement.
Ben’s passion for the nonprofit sector was shaped early on by his parents – his mother worked in early childhood education nonprofits, and his father specialized in financing bonds for municipalities and organizations to build housing for those in need.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, majoring in urban and environmental policy, with minors in education and religious studies.
Ben has since worked with organizations focused on housing, health, and community development. He returned to the nonprofit sector to join NFF after a brief hiatus during which he pursued a woodworking apprenticeship – an interest he continues as a hobby. Outside of work, Ben enjoys traveling, playing sports (especially golf), and spending time with friends, family, and his cat.
Ethan (he/him) is a Business Intelligence Associate on the Consulting team at NFF, where he supports internal systems and process optimization through data analysis and strategic insight. He brings over seven years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including roles at Make-A-Wish Foundation and the YMCA, with a background in project management, budgeting, and program evaluation.
Ethan holds a Bachelor of Art in communication and Spanish from Utah Valley University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington. He is passionate about mission-driven work and is known for his service-first mindset and thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
Outside of work, Ethan is an avid surfer, runner, and musician who spends much of his time outdoors. He’s revered by those who know him best for making an incredible eggplant parm sandwich.
Vivian (she/her) leads the talent recruitment and selection process. She executes NFF’s vision and strategy for recruitment and selection and contributes to organizational culture building and employee experience efforts at NFF. She contributes to the design of a structured recruitment process with a focus on achieving business needs and a positive candidate experience.
In her role, Vivian supports hiring managers and staff to debias the hiring process while ensuring attraction and selection of values-aligned and qualified talent.
So Jung (she/her) is a Manager on the Consulting team at the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF), where she brings a background in strategic planning and a commitment to community-centered change. Before joining NFF, So worked as a consultant at Schultz & Williams, partnering with nonprofits across the country to co-create practical, three- to five-year strategic plans. Her earlier experiences include leading development and outreach at Penn Asian Senior Services, using art to promote educational access with A Book a Day, and conducting national research studies at Cornell University’s Survey Research Institute.
While completing her master’s in social policy at the University of Pennsylvania, So focused on aging policy and the ways social change can improve quality of life for older adults—an interest that continues to shape her approach to inclusive planning and equity-driven work. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in development sociology and law from Cornell University and is certified in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
So currently serves as Vice President of The Spruce Foundation and sits on the Advisory Board of A Book a Day, where she helps shape strategies that support youth education and community philanthropy in Philadelphia. Across her work, So is grounded in a commitment to connection—bringing people together through inclusive planning, collaborative decision-making, and thoughtful engagement.
Outside of work, you can find her at a high-energy Zumba class, enjoying a round of golf with her partner, or hanging out at home with her furry crew.
Sabrina (she/her) joined the Finance Team at NFF as the Associate, Loan Fund Accounting in March 2025 after eight years in the banking industry with Oak Valley Community Bank, First Republic Bank, and JPMorgan Chase. She leverages her experience to drive accuracy and transparency across NFF’s loan portfolios.
Sabrina maintains NFF’s portfolio schedules, trusted as the enterprise’s ‘source of truth,’ and oversees the monthly closing process for loan receivables, seamlessly reconciling the general ledger and bank transactions with both portfolio schedules and the Loan Management System (LMS).
Each month, quarter, and year, Sabrina prepares detailed reports and account reconciliations, generates and analyzes LMS data on principal and interest remittances, accruals, and capitalizations, and reconciles discrepancies at both the macro portfolio level and individual loan level. She also partners with the Loan Servicing Department to investigate missing payments, maintain delinquency journals, and log daily remittances—ensuring every cash flow is accurately recorded.
When she’s not balancing ledgers, Sabrina enjoys playing piano, creating diamond art, curling up with a good book, and playing video games with her son and partner.
Raleigh (pronounced rah-lee; he/him) loves helping teams do their best work by making systems simpler, smarter, and more supportive. He focuses on designing tools that are easy to use, keep data clean, and grow alongside the organization’s needs.
He’s worked closely with mission-driven teams to move complicated processes out of spreadsheets and into Salesforce, helping people spend less time wrangling data and more time focusing on impact. Whether it’s untangling a messy workflow or building a solution from scratch, Raleigh enjoys turning complex problems into clean, practical tools that actually make people’s jobs easier.
