Essential and Enduring
2025 Annual Report
Nonprofits stepped up in 2025, proving themselves essential and enduring in a long and challenging year. Across the country, nonprofits helped their communities navigate high prices, the lack of affordable housing, political attacks, and tears in our nation’s social fabric. For many nonprofits, 2025 brought funding cuts and delayed or cancelled federal and state contracts, making it even harder to cover the full cost of delivering services.
In this challenging environment, NFF was a source of capital, consulting, and financial knowledge to thousands of nonprofits, and an advocate for all of them. When nonprofits have access to the capital and financial knowledge they need, they can provide community infrastructure that strengthens community wealth and well-being.
