Investing in Faith Organizations for Community Well-being
Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) and Trinity Church Wall Street have partnered on the Faith in Our Communities Fund, a $4.5 million pilot program serving faith organizations seeking to build sustainable financial capacity and enhance community impact through the redevelopment of their property. Offered as part of NFF’s focus on community ownership and Trinity’s Mission Real Estate Development initiative, the fund allows NFF to provide flexible pre-development and acquisition loans, backed by Trinity’s credit guarantee, to faith organizations often unable to access mainstream sources of capital as they pursue affordable housing, workforce development, and other community impact projects.

- Loan amounts start at $250,000
- Loan terms are 2-3 years (with extension options where appropriate)
- Interest-only monthly payments
- Secured by a first deed of trust/mortgage with maturity of one to two years
- Maximum loan-to-value (LTV) of 80%
- Competitive interest rates based on NFF pricing at origination
- Available nationwide

- Architectural and engineering fees
- Environmental assessments
- Zoning and permitting costs
- Building repairs
