In no particular order: Spouse, Dog & Cat Dad, Philadelphian, Eagles Fanatic. I started in the financial services sector with a small local bank and entered the world of CDFIs because I found myself, far too often, unable to facilitate loans to the individuals, organizations, and small businesses that needed capital the most. Added bonus: I find the people that work for and with CDFIs to be among the most passionate, thoughtful, and talented folks I’ve met.
Bio: Michael's role as an underwriter on the Financial Services team is to guide loan requests through the underwriting process, obtain credit approval, and support the closing and funding of each transaction. Prior to joining NFF, he worked in the field of financial inclusion and economic development at a Philadelphia-based, regional CDFI. Michael currently serves on the board of directors for the New Kensington Community Development Corporation and on the American Street Empowerment Zone Trust Fund Advisory Board. What he loves about his position at NFF is that it provides him an opportunity to perform deep dives into financial analysis and modeling while also engaging with fascinating people doing important work.
