Kenyauda (pronounced (Ken yah-duh) joins NFF’s development team as Director of Development for NFF’s Consulting practice, drawing from her previous experiences that highlighted the inequitable funding system within nonprofits. Noticing a significant disparity in funding access between larger and smaller organizations, as well as between affluent and marginalized communities, she advocates for underfunded nonprofits at NFF.
She is a nonprofit development professional dedicated to raising funds for environmental causes and supporting marginalized communities. Her leadership has yielded transformative results as Chief Development Officer at Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR), where she emphasized environmental education and access as fundamental rights, successfully turning around an annual budget shortfall.
At Training Education Research Innovation, Inc. (TERI), she managed a portion of their significant annual budget while simultaneously raising millions for a stalled capital campaign. Kenyauda’s approach merges financial stewardship and compelling storytelling with community empowerment and equity, paving the way for organizational sustainability and meaningful community impact.
