Brenda Loya is the Chief Investment Officer at RDF. Prior to her current role, she was the Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Justice Climate Fund, and Chief Operating Officer of BlueHub Capital, a CDFI based in Roxbury, MA. She also held the position of National Director of Community Development Finance at Amalgamated Bank, where she was responsible for the bank’s community development lending and targeted capital investment strategy aimed at advancing economic, climate, and racial justice priorities. She joined Amalgamated Bank in 2019 after serving as the Director of the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF)’s Eastern region loan originations team working closely with nonprofits on their financing and capital needs. Prior to joining NFF, she worked at Citi Community Capital, where she originated and structured community development lending and equity solutions. Brenda has an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a BS in computer science and engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Brenda serves as the Vice Chair of the board of directors for Raza Development Fund as well as serving as Co-Chair of board of directors for Masa NY.
