Bre Onna Mathis-Perez (she/her) is a Director of Consulting and has been working in the nonprofit industry since 2005. Prior to joining NFF, she led initiatives focused on breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma, advancing mental health, and supporting survivors of domestic violence and child abuse. Through these programs, she has worked in partnership with government agencies and foundations to ensure program success. Now at NFF, Bre partners with nonprofit leaders and funders to champion equity through full-cost funding strategies.
She holds a master’s in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University, and dual bachelor’s degrees in business marketing and urban education from California State University, Northridge.
Whether she’s facilitating a funder workshop, advising Black-led collaboratives in South LA or designing equity-centered funding models, Bre brings creativity, care, and unapologetic purpose to every space she enters. When she’s not driving systems change, you can find her chasing waterfalls, catching flights, or jumping into her next adrenaline rush.
