SIEC Project Leader

Lacy Serros

Growing up in the Central Valley of California’s rich agriculture basin, I come from union organizers, teachers, and some of the most resilient workers in the country. I strive to continue their legacy of fighting for justice through my work at NFF to push the difficult yet rewarding work to live out our value of Equity in Action in our everyday activities.

When I first started at NFF, I wore many hats: board liaison, executive coordinator, event manager, and facilitator of our diversity, equity, and inclusion work. I have since transitioned into a role where I oversee major DEI initiatives, including research on how the CDFI sector can be more equitable and inclusive and serving as Project Leader on our inaugural Social Innovation & Equity Council.

Previous work in state and federal policy advocacy and national philanthropy has afforded me expertise in organizational and business unit development, results-based strategy, and community-led movements. I am passionate about racial justice and pushing boundaries to redistribute resources to those who need it most.

Empathetic thought partner. Fan of collaborative action. Supportive dot connector. Owner of LaceSpace - a woman of color owned business specializing in professional and personal organizing.
