Empathetic thought partner. Fan of collaborative action. Supportive dot connector.
I am originally from California's Central Valley, a rich agricultural basin in the middle of the state, where union organizers, teachers, nurses, and some of the most resilient workers in the country reside. With over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and social sector, I continue fighting for justice through my role at NFF to ensure everyone is living our organizational values to center community, have integrity and mutual respect, and continue to learn so we can all have a culture of care and belonging. My career trajectory has been diverse and includes community organizing, state and federal policy advocacy, national philanthropic initiatives, and curriculum/training development and facilitation. I am passionate about pushing boundaries to redistribute resources to those who need them most.
During my free time, I enjoy cuddling with my two cats, tending to my plants, and participating in a Latina Writing Circle.
