Onika joined NFF in 2014 and currently serves as Vice President, NMTC overseeing all aspects of NFF’s New Markets Tax Credit program. Since 2006, NFF has deployed over $400 million in New Markets Tax Credits to 50 nonprofit organizations. Prior to NFF, Onika held community development finance roles at New Jersey Community Capital (NJCC) and Inclusiv (formerly, National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions). At NJCC she oversaw a $142 million loan portfolio including $80 million in NMTC. Prior to that, she worked at Inclusiv supporting the deployment and management of a $25 million core program portfolio of mortgage and deposits delivering resources to community development credit unions to strengthen their finances and expand their impact on low-income communities. Onika holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University and a Master’s Degree in urban affairs from the City University of New York's Hunter College.
