NFF Statement of Fair and Equitable Practices
Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) is committed to racial equity and we continue to work to make community finance more equitable. We do so as part of our work as a CDFI and as part of our organization’s mission.
NFF collects certain demographic information and data from applicants and clients of its Financing and Consulting services. Such information may include data on the gender, race, and national origin of individuals who lead organizations, and individuals who are served by organizations applying to utilize the services of NFF. As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that receives financial assistance from the CDFI Fund, NFF is subject to various requirements under Federal law, including compiling such demographic data. Such data is used to determine whether NFF is fulfilling its mission and required responsibility to adequately serve designated investment areas and targeted populations; and to evaluate the impact of the CDFI Program.
NFF collects demographic data in a manner that is compliant with applicable laws. NFF collects and reviews various aspects of applicants and clients, including an organization’s mission, impact, financial condition, and connection to community, to make eligibility and credit decisions related to our services and in fulfillment of its mission. NFF does not exclude consideration of any applicant or client on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, familial status, sex, or disability.
