As the granddaughter of a New Mexican curandera, I like to think of my work and purpose as healing social ills.
I don’t have the knowledge to heal people through plants, but my work at NFF allows me to learn about root causes of injustice, and support those community groups that are collaborating to create the housing, health care, jobs and policies to strengthen our wellbeing, our opportunity, and our connection to each other.
Growing up in the Bay Area and having a passion for social justice, I landed my first finance job at Tides, a grantmaker and nonprofit incubator supporting progressive projects around the world. I have worked in organizations bolstering access to reproductive health and have partnered in helping new entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership.
Outside of work I love heading out on the bike with my son and husband, stopping at the farmers market for coffee and a treat, and exploring new neighborhoods in our new city Portland, Oregon - in the Pacific Wonderland!
