Chiweta Uzoka

I currently serve as an Analyst at NFF. My first introduction into the nonprofit world was through my parents. Both are mental health professionals that founded and ran a community counseling center in the Los Angeles area for twenty years. This experience continues to shape me and fuel my fight for access in communities and community-centered organizations. This drive is what brought me to NFF and what excites me about the work.

Through my previous experiences, I developed a strong interest for public service and community engagement. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Politics (with double minors in African American Studies and Legal Studies) from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Public Administration degree from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, checking out different restaurants, watching movies, and reading.
