City Continues to Pay Its Vendors Too Little and Too Late
Jina Paik, Director, Advisory Services at NFF and Allison Sesso, Executive Director, Human Services Council, co-authored an op-ed in Crain's Business New York about the shortfalls of city government contracts. Human services nonprofits combat homelessness, provide nutrition assistance, facilitate job training, and address many other issues on the government's behalf. However, government funding rarely covers the full costs of these services, and contract payments are often late.
