New Grants Support Partnerships Between CDFIs and Healthcare

The community development and health sectors have worked for decades to address the root causes of poverty and poor health, but the two sectors rarely coordinate their investments, even when working in the same communities. A new grant from the Blue Shield of California Foundation to the Build Healthy Places Network will allow four CDFIs – NFF, Enterprise Community Partners, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and the Low Income Investment Fund – to build partnerships in four California cities toward sustainable investments in prevention programs.
