6 Steps for Grant Makers to Take Now to Ensure Nonprofits Recover From Coronavirus Spread

Organizations like Tacoma Community House in Seattle, which have been helping immigrants and refugees since 1910, need help not only to get through the COVID-19 crisis, but also to rebuild our communities in the future. Funders should immediately take these six action steps:
- Check in with your grantees
- Provide unrestricted funding and remove restrictions on existing grants
- Pay full costs
- Suspend reporting requirements and evaluative site visits
- Maintain funding levels
- Mobilize recovery grants
