Supporting survivors of human trafficking in New York City

$125,000 bridge loan

Not On My Watch (NOMW) provides people who have endured or are at risk of human trafficking with the resources, awareness, and training that they need. Leveraging a trauma-informed and systems-oriented approach, NOMW has partnered with 300 houses of worship to combat trafficking and domestic violence in their communities. The organization has also hosted national conferences to provide education around human trafficking and domestic violence and worked tirelessly with national and local organizations on legislation to protect victims and prevent future trafficking.

While the City of New York has awarded NOMW a grant in support of its essential work, the nonprofit needs bridge financing to maintain its programs while it waits for that funding to arrive. Financed through NFF’s CARE Fund, which offers 0% interest loans to community-centered nonprofits led by people of color, this loan will help NOMW continue to provide preventative programs and advocate for survivors.
